14:40 – Warrior Square
WARRIOR SQUARE is enjoying a good season, winning back-to-back handicaps on the all-weather earlier in the year, and arguably running a career-best when runner-up at Wolverhampton last time. His record on turf so far isn’t as inspiring, but he arrives in top form and is fancied to bag win number three racing off the same mark as last time. United Force is on a long losing run but could emerge as the chief threat on the back of his good course and distance second. Kodebreaker appeals as the pick of the rest for minor honours.
15:10 – Hettie Jack
HETTIE JACK built on debut promise when opening her account in a seller at Goodwood last month, went down only narrowly at Ffos Las last month in a race run in a good time, so Geroge Scott’s filly has seemingly found a good opportunity to double her tally. She can get the better of Blue Zodiac, who shaped much better than the bare result when sixth here on debut 12 days ago and is sure to have more to offer. Facoulty, who was very green on debut, can edge out Moostar for third spot.
15:40 – Stintino Sunset
STINTINO SUNSET was a two-time winner last season and signalled she’s ready to gain a first success of 2024 when a very good Nottingham second last time. Not seen to as good an effect as the winner, so she gets the vote to come out on top in this competitive handicap. Trackman heads the list of dangers on the back of his good Wolverhampton second, with in-form Dibble Dabble and last year’s winner Fillyfudge also well in the mix.
16:10 – Accrual
ACCRUAL showed next to nothing on his debut, though he was held back by inexperience, and he left that form well behind when opening his account at the second attempt at Bath last month. He took another big step forward when following up under a penalty at Wolverhampton last week, showing plenty of speed and having plenty in hand. He looks useful, so makes plenty of appeal on his handicap debut from an opening mark of 80. Agostino showed he’s as good on turf as he is on the all-weather when second at Lingfield last time and can give the selection the most to think about.
16:40 – Morrophore
MORROPHORE has the potential for significant improvement on the back of an encouraging debut at Newmarket at the end of last month, easy to back and displaying clear signs of greenness, and she will likely take plenty of beating if coming forward from that initial experience as she is expected to. Kinako Mochi may not be the easiest to train judged on the gaps between her races, but she’s shown plenty of promise on the all-weather and could be the one to give the selection most to do ahead of Tianita. Etmaari and Charlotte’s Web are newcomers to monitor closely in the betting.
17:10 – Bonaventure
A tightly-knit handicap in which BONAVENTURE edges the vote on the back of his encouraging fourth at Nottingham with this return to a longer trip looking a big plus. Moreginplease is weighted to go well and next on the list, although a solid case can also be made for the likes of Anif, The Spotlight Kid, Respectable Jack and Boasted.
