15:55 Naas – Tai Tam Bay

A case can be made for almost all of these. Shandy is interesting in handicap company having been highly tried. Scorchio was mid-division at Ascot but the form of her previous Cork win puts her right in the mix. National Lady has to redeem herself after a disappointing effort at Fairyhouse. Magical Vision is very interesting if she handles the ground, while Ostraka will be thereabouts on her Cork effort. The selection is TAI TAM BAY who ran a fine race off her highest mark at the Curragh last week and should go very close.

16:40 Leicester – Keen Interest

His strike rate is 0-13 but KEEN INTEREST stuck to his task very well when second to a next-time-out winner at Bath recently and, on that evidence, looks well worth a crack at today’s 2f longer trip. He gets the nod ahead of Iftikhaar, who posted a couple of good efforts in May, and Ribkana.

17:35 Nottingham – IRV

Isle Of Wolves ran another fine race when second at Newcastle last week and he should be in the thick of it but a losing run dating back to August 2019 does temper enthusiasm slightly. IRV has shown himself to be in top form in recent starts and he can go one better than in the corresponding race 12 months ago. Of the remainder, Iron Heart has been running well over jumps and he returns to the Flat off a dangerous mark.

17:40 Naas – Tyder

Andy Slattery had a winner in this category earlier in the week and may bag another here with TYDER who showed notable improvement when second in an all-aged handicap at Leopardstown last month. Dancing Steve was another who left their previous form behind when third to Dream Ticket at Down Royal and can turn that form around at the revised weights. Empress Alma ran well over a longer trip at Limerick and is another who can contend.

17:48 Carlisle – Giselles Izzy

El Montejean can go well back sprinting, while Runninwild and Music Society are both currently handicapped to win. GISELLES IZZY is 1lb lower than when winning at Hamilton in May and she’s tentatively preferred under suitable conditions.

18:25 Leicester – Connie’s Rose

She’s the oldest runner in the line-up but CONNIE’S ROSE has been in excellent form in recent months and might have found a good opportunity here, given that Canaria Queen and Perianth have shown their best form on slow ground, She’s Centimental is more effective on AW surfaces and that Mirroring may be better suited by 7f. The last-named is not yet fully exposed, though, and may give the selection most to do.

20:10 Nottingham – Inappropriate

Fortnum took a big step forward when winning over C&D on last month’s handicap debut and a 5lb rise doesn’t look insurmountable. Corrales should be seen to better effect back on a sound surface and he’s also of interest but INAPPROPRIATE is preferred. His third at Yarmouth in April looks solid form for the grade and he remains capable of better over this trip.

20:20 Carlisle – Orbaan

This can go to ORBAAN who had been treading water for the best part of a year but was an emphatic winner of the Bell here last time out and is still well treated despite going back up 6lb. Barley (second choice) and Helter Skelter are likely to be well in contention, along with Lahab who didn’t get a fair crack of the whip in the Bell.
