13:50 Sandown – Twilight Calls (NAP)
I know Live In The Dream has won at Sandown but I see him setting the race up perfectly for Twilight Calls with Ryan Moore on board. He’ll come off the pace and he’s got cheekpieces on for the first time. He’ll need a little bit of luck but he can go close.
14:05 Haydock – Align The Stars (each way)
This is a tough enough contest to call and I’ve landed on Align The Stars as an each-way shout. He beat Hampden well at Thirsk last time out. I liked the way he won and the extra couple of furlongs will really suit him.
14:25 Sandown – Holloway Boy
I’ve landed on Holloway Boy for Karl Burke. Perotto had a clear run in the Hunt Cup at Ascot last month and he only managed to finish third. Holloway Boy, meanwhile, had to wait to get a run and he finished really well. That form is solid.
14:40 Haydock – Tiffany
I’m with the improving Tiffany, who won at Newcastle last time out. She’s got form on softer ground and she actually has form on every ground. Sir Mark Prescott keeps pushing her out and she’s out to 1m4f on Saturday. That should really suit her.
15:00 Sandown – Indelible
Joseph Patrick O’Brien is sending Unreasonable over and although you always have to take notice when that happens, the yard isn’t in great form, so I’m with Indelible for Ralph Beckett. He was in a similar position to Soprano in the Sandringham at Ascot but the pace on Indelible’s side of the race didn’t hold up. I fancy him to reverse that form with Soprano.
15:15 Haydock – Epic Poet (each way)
Epic Poet ran really well at Ascot at a big price when coming from way off the pace to finish second and almost catch Crystal Black. He’s a hold-up horse and he’s a decent price for Daniel Tudhope and David O’Meara.
15:35 Sandown – City Of Troy
All of the vibes about City Of Troy are good and he will win. There isn’t anything to take Aidan O’Brien’s runner on.
