Current form can count for plenty in Class 6 handicaps, so it would be unwise to suggest that Without Delay and Going Underground have done their winning for the time being. Urban Dandy (second choice) has won fresh in the past and should prove a threat provided his consistent AW form is transferred back to turf. However, slight preference is for PURPLE MARTINI who runs Musselburgh well and is handicapped to have a say.

16:20 Thirsk – Kings Crown (Daily Record)

Off a reduced mark back at the scene of his maiden win, KING’S CROWN is an interesting alternative to Patontheback who holds obvious claims on current form. One More Dream and Sunny Orange are also in the mix, while Arnaz looks the pick of the 3yos.

17:25 Thirsk – Willow Baby (The Times)

A chance is taken on WILLOW BABY for whom 6f is probably a better fit that the 5f or 7f she’s also been tried over. Ripon last time didn’t go to plan when prominent in the betting. Foreseeable Future was ahead of the selection that day and therefore needs a second look, as does Ishe Worth Agamble.

17:40 Tipperary – Oxford Rock (Irish Sun)

Very competitive, none of the 11 can be ruled out, with a tentative vote going to OXFORD ROCK, a good second over C&D before running well for a long way in the Queen Mary. Several of these contested the Windsor Castle at the same meeting, Treasure Isle coming out worst but Ryan Moore keeps the faith and there could well be more to come from the colt who should appreciate the likely strong pace.
