18:00 Golden Eib Micrphn

This is a six-runner optional claiming stakes with our likely favourite Utterly Enchanting very opposable given the pace make up of the race in this five-furlong sprint. I think that GOLDEN EIB MICRPHN is the bet of the race, he will break out of stall two and with the pace scenario likely to favour the front runners if he can avoid the pace duel that the horses drawn wider of him. He can pick up the pieces and get us off to a winner.

18:30 Sacred Thunder

Tricky maiden here with only one horse that has raced. just for money was second on debut not doing much wrong but my preference here is for SACRED THUNDER. He has put in some very good pieces of work over the past six weeks and jockey Jamie Rodiguez is the leading rider at Delaware riding at a 29% strike rate. Trainer Gary Capuano is in great from too with 29% strike rate for his first time starters.

19:00 Hardy Choice (NAP)

This is a claiming race on the turf and with no rain forecasted I fully expect all thirteen to go to post. I have always been a fan of trainer Jamie Ness who has a great ability to campaign his horses and HARDY CHOICE (NAP) looks very well placed by the Ness team on only his fourth start for the stable, went off 9/4 in a turf race last time out having switched from racing on dirt and all-weather surfaces. He got involved in a pace duel early that cost him the race and now with Jamie Rodiguez taking the ride I expect Hardy Choice to go very close and is my NAP on the card.

19:30 Authentic Kingdom

A maiden special weight worth $40,000 to the winner. I find it hard to look past the John Servis-trained AUTHENTIC KINGDOM who is racing against much lesser opposition than he fared against at Aqueduct in May where he was sent off favourite. Jockey Kendrick Carmouche takes the ride and is clearly the best jockey at Delaware tonight and is taking only his second ride here of the season.

20:00 Bold Medication

A proper low-grade claiming race with each available to be claimed for between $5000 and $6250. All the horses are exposed in terms of ability but the one I’m very drawn to here is BOLD MEDICATION who will get an uncontested lead and I think jockey Carol Cedeno will be able to go coast to coast.

20:30 Wora

A turf allowance race over five furlongs. I find it hard not to be with our likely favourite WORA who was an unlucky third in a better race was three weeks ago. Wora will need to use his early speed to get a rail position behind the likely leader Sunset Town and his class will see him home from there.

21:00 Couperin

The lucky last and another low-grade claiming race. There is a lot to like about COUPERIN on his second start for the Arriagada barn. He was sent off odds-on (on paper) for his first stable start and just didn’t get the run of the race. Today he gets a dream trip on paper with a soft lead to the bend from the Jamie Ness-trained Brysons Option who shapes like he needs further than a mile.
