17:05 Stratford – Baltic Voyage

This isn’t too competitive and Cusano (second choice) should be bang there but BALTIC VOYAGE, who was quite useful on the Flat, should still have potential as a hurdler and is down in class following wind surgery. Polling Day was still on the premises when coming down two out at Fakenham but even if his confidence is unaffected he needs to settle a lot better than he did there.

17:50 Roscommon – Leviosa

Golden Days caught the eye at Limerick recently and looks a likely player but preference is for another seven year old LEVIOSA, a fine second at the same venue and who had gone close over C&D this time last year. Kinda Tiny, Pascalia, Trueba and Scarlet Dancer are others with claims, while the 3yo Mark’s One is a potential improver.

18:30 Lingfield – Fictional

This may rest between FICTIONAL, Smart Charger and Vin Rouge, who are preferred in that order. The selection cost favourite backers twice but made it third time lucky for them over 1m3f at Kempton last time, with a performance that suggested plenty of stamina.

19:00 Lingfield – Red Cloud

As a three year old with form figures of 221 since he went handicapping, RED CLOUD has to catch the eye in this field of modest performers. He is unraced on AW but having handled Brighton boosts his chance of adapting to this track and Montjeu as the dam’s sire augurs well for today’s extra distance. C&D winner Velvet Vulcan on his return to AW is second on the list, although several others also enter each-way calculations.

19:20 Roscommon – Golden Ash

Bear Profit is the obvious starting point on the back on his Leopardstown win. He is without doubt a quirky individual but today’s rider Keithen Kennedy was masterful on him on that occasion and may well and found the key to him.

That said, a chance is taken on GOLDEN ASH. The lack of a recent run is without doubt a concern, but his handlers patience is likely to pay dividends at some point and his handicap debut third when last seen out, was pretty eye-catching. Loingseoir has a fine record here and is greatly feared on what could be called a nice prep run, whilst Slieve Binnian is also feared.

20:10 Stratford – Nibras Gold

Although Walkingoneggshells failed to go on over hurdles, he’s an Irish point winner who is interesting on his chase/handicap debut. However, NIBRAS GOLD is the solid one after a promising chase debut in May back from a break. Fat Sam is on a dangerous mark and could well give the selection most to do, with Chess Player also worth considering.
