14:40 Pontefract – Sound Reason (Spotlight)
Three year olds Glory Hyde and Secret Command are closely matched on latest running and should go well from handy stalls but there are some well-treated older sprinters in a cracking handicap. Havagomecca is a stone lower than when last winning and weighted to turn things round with Protest Rally from Musselburgh, but this can go to SOUND REASON, who’s on a career-low mark after recording his best effort yet for current connections last time. Front-runner Cavalier Approach is another with claims.
16:00 Worcester – Moonscape Girl (Daily Record)
There aren’t too many obvious candidates here and although Vocito has a fair chance of following up last month’s C&D win, he has to give plenty of weight away and slight preference is for stablemate MOONSCAPE GIRL, who showed improved form to win a Southwell bumper on her final start for Paul Webber.
17:25 Wolverhampton – Loveable Rogue (The Star)
Most of these have questions to answer but LOVEABLE ROGUE battled well when beating an odds-on rival at Lingfield in May and this well-bred filly is open to more progress on this switch to handicapping. The main threat could come from Caelan, who is 2-3 on AW and now returns to the scene of his last success. Another to keep an eye on is Godolphin’s unexposed handicap newcomer Historic City.
17:45 Windsor – Big Time Rascal (Telegraph)
Preference is for handicap debutant BIG TIME RASCAL, who looks favourably treated off 72 considering that his Brighton conqueror now has a mark of 85. Law Of Average, who may resume his progress back down in class, is feared most ahead of Make It Easy who has clear possibilities at this level.
