A rematch between Ambiente Friendly and Los Angeles takes place in the Irish Derby (16:05) at the Curragh after finishing second and third respectively in the Epsom equivalent earlier this month. A cracking card also features the Group 2 GAIN Railway Stakes (13:40) as Aidan O’Brien fields Henri Matisse, The Parthenon and Tunbridge Wells.

The Class 2 Summer Cup Handicap Chase (15:00) tops the bill at Uttoxeter which sees top weight Hang In There attempt to go one better after a neck defeat in the Perth Gold Cup earlier this month.

Gavin Cromwell sends a team across the Irish Sea to Cartmel as Final Orders tackles the Class 2 Oakmere Homes Handicap Chase (15:45) and Je T’Ai Porte lines up in the Class 2 Oakmere Homes Handicap Hurdle (15:10).

There is also all-weather action at Wolverhampton.
