14:30 – Bedtime Story

I was in Leopardstown when Bedtime Story won earlier this month on good ground as Aidan O’Brien’s second string. She’s a beautiful looking filly and she really impressed me. I can’t go against her after seeing that!

15:05 – Middle Earth

I’m siding with Middle Earth, who was behind Continuous in the St Leger last year. I’m on John & Thady Gosden’s runner simply because he’s had a run this year, whereas Continuous hasn’t run since last October. Middle Earth will have the fitness edge and he’s got solid form. He can show improvement.

15:45 – Mitbaahy

I’m on Mitbaahy for Charles Hills with Jamie Spencer on board. He likes to be held up and make his move late. I was impressed with his Curragh win last time out and his running style will suit the race. I’m hoping the four in the middle don’t get away as he’s drawn in stall one.

16:25 – River Tiber

It’s Haatem v River Tiber, which is second v third in the Irish 2,000 Guineas. I’m siding with the latter as he should have improved enough to turn that form around. Haatem was in the right place all the way in the 2,000 Guineas so has no real excuse bar he was beaten by a better horse on the day. However, with the Curragh run under his belt, River Tiber can take another step forward.

17:05 – Harry Three

Clive Cox has Harry Three and the jockey booking of Ryan Moore caught my eye. He had almost two years off the track before returning at Salisbury in May when finishing fourth and with that run under his belt, he can go well under Ryan.

17:40 – Hand Of God

I was with Portsmouth until the draw came out and stall three which is far from ideal. I like Approval in stall six but I’ll go with Hand Of God for William Buick and Harry Charlton in stall 17. It’s a tentative selection after deciding to go against Portsmouth.

18:15 – Queenstown (NAP)

I’m keen on Queenstown for Aidan O’Brien, who has finished second behind Kyprios on the last two occasions. We all know how good Kyprios is, so I’m sweet on Queenstown.
