14:30 – Bedtime Story

BEDTIME STORY is a daughter of Frankel and was an impressive winner at Leopardstown when beating a better-fancied stablemate Giselle. Ryan Moore takes over in the saddle for Aidan O’Brien and can be another winner for the combo this week.

15:05 – Continuous

The Ballydoyle machine rolls on into the Hardwicke Stakes over 1 mile, four furlongs and last season’s St Leger winner CONTINUOUS, who then went on to finish fifth in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, makes his seasonal debut. The trip may be a little short of his best but his back form is top class.

15:45 – Believing (each-way)

The 6f QEII Jubilee Stakes is worth a cool stg £1m and I like BELIEVING. She’ll love the ground as proven when she won at Haydock a couple of weeks ago and ran fourth to Asfoora here on Tuesday over 5 furlongs. She’s an each-way player.

16:25 – Haatem

The consistent HAATEM has been third in an English Guineas and runner-up in the Irish one so deserves a break. He may get it here now dropping back to 7 furlongs and has plenty of toe to get into the lead and stay there. He can get the job done.

17:05 – Albasheer (each-way)

The 6f Wokingham Handicap is one of the big betting races of the day and as always is a minefield for punters. Archie Watson’s ALBASHEER is rated higher on all weather than he is on turf and won his first two starts this season at Newcastle. He was highly tried in a Group 2 contest at Chantilly on soft ground. A good draw in stall 31 is a bonus too and he’s an each-way chance.

17:40- Black Run (each-way)

He ran in the ultra-competitive London Gold Cup last time and didn’t disgrace himself, despite being down the field. Before that, BLACK RUN was a good winner of a Newmarket handicap having run in a Group 3 Classic trial in France on seasonal debut. An each-way chance if bouncing back to his Newmarket form.

18:15 – Dawn Rising

The final race of the meeting where Joseph O’Brien saddles three runners including last year’s winner DAWN RISING. He’s finished behind Queenstown twice this season already, when Aidan O’Brien’s charge was twice runner-up to Thursday’s Gold Cup winner Kyprios. This looks like it has been Dawn Rising’s target all season.
