14:30 – Binadham (each-way)

BINADHAM looked great on his racecourse debut at Yarmouth and despite racing very keenly in the early stages he saw out the trip very well. He was highly talked up by his young handler afterwards suggesting they would take a significant climb in company.

15:05 – Gilded Water

GILDED WATER took another step forward as he has done with each racecourse appearance so far when winning by a very wide-looking distance at Chepstow last time. He could have been let in very lightly by the assessor on a very handy-looking mark of 92. This big field will be a new experience but he quite clearly has a massive amount of potential.

15:45 – Diamond Rain

DIAMOND RAIN hasn’t put a foot wrong on her two racecourse appearances so far winning over the mile and comfortably stepping up to 10 furlongs last time. She takes another step up in distance this afternoon but in keeping with her pedigree this should prove no problem and she looks up to taking the rise in class.

16:25 – Kyprios

Kyprios won this in 2022 and has had a bit of a stop-start campaign in the interim. He has returned this season in top form with wins over shorter distances in Ireland and looks an improved model at the age of six. The return to longer races on quicker ground looks perfect as he tries to regain his Gold Cup crown.

17:05 – Skukuza (each-way)

SKUKUZA has always been held in high regard by his handler Ed Dunlop but took a few runs to start to race properly when claiming a very smooth victory last time at Newmarket. He has the ideal set-up for a big field contest like this that ought to be run at a strong gallop and this will help the hold-up tactics.

17:40 – Brackens Laugh

BRACKENS LAUGH is regarded as the best in the Richard Hughes’ stable and has put up two very smart performances so far this season on the all-weather at Chelmsford and then ran solidly at Chester. This Group 3 contest may not be his ceiling as the season progresses. King’s Gambit looks the main danger after a strong performance when winning the London Gold Cup cosily at Newbury on reappearance.

18:15 – Tacarib Bay (each-way)

All of TACARIB BAY‘s form around this venue has been very strong over today’s distance of 7f and over the mile. The quicker ground should prove ideal and the Richard Hannon team have a 3lb claimer Alec Voikhansky on board and that makes him look very attractively handicapped. He is suited to the hustle and bustle of this type of test.
