14:00 Carlisle – Uncle Sam (Daily Record)
This doesn’t look the strongest of maidens and UNCLE SAM, who showed promise on his debut at Leicester, is taken to beat newcomers A Fine Claret and Saxon Raider.
16:18 Chepstow – Savannah Smiles (The Times)
Global Effort is probably still on a good mark after his recent AW win but the suggestion is SAVANNAH SMILES, who has won twice over 6f on the AW this year and moves back up to her optimum trip after a fairly good third over 5f here last month. One Hart is also considered.
17:05 Gowran Park – Striking (Irish Sun)
The one with the least to prove is probably Sceptred Isle despite an 11lb rise for her win at Tipperary. She should be in the thick of it but preference is for STRIKING, a C&D winner who didn’t run at all badly over hurdles only last week. Whatcouldhavebeen, Vidisha and Believe In Science can also make their presence felt.
19:00 Windsor – First Folio (Racing Post)
A very competitive qualifier in which cases can be made for plenty. Many A Star (second choice) is not without hope of reversing recent course placings with Amazonian Dream but a chance is taken on FIRST FOLIO, who has dropped to a dangerous mark and whose debut for Julie Camacho was better than it looks on paper. King’s Vanity could be a dark horse on this first try at sprinting.
