13:50 York – Chillhi (each-way)

This big field 1m 4f handicap should see CHILLHI get a strong pace to run at and he’s dropped down a good way in the handicap to a mark of 79. He was an eye-catcher fairly recently from around this rating and that suggests his turn is coming. The Ellison yard are in decent order and he looks in each-way play in an open contest.

14:05 Sandown – Dual Identity

A return to Sandown hill could be key for DUAL IDENTITY as it suited him so well 23 days ago when putting up a dominant display to win. The form has already been given a boost with the second Magic Memories winning very comfortably at Yarmouth since. Dual Identity doesn’t appear to be harshly treated by the assessor in his bid to follow up.

14:25 York – New Image

NEW IMAGE has certainly found a new lease of life since being switched across to the David O’Meara stable winning three of his five outings for new connections. It’s also been expected as he has been strongly supported in the market including when he could be called the winner from some way out last time at Musselburgh.

14:40 Sandown – Flora Of Bermuda

FLORA OF BERMUDA went through the grades very nicely last season and ended up with a smart triple-digit rating. We can put a line through her return effort three weeks ago at Haydock as she got slightly upset at the gates and missed the break. Flora of Bermuda was left with an awful amount of ground to make up and was allowed to come home in her own time. She will leave that form well behind if she breaks on terms now.

15:00 York – Salt Bay

SALT BAY looks a little over-priced to me judging by his return effort over 1m 4f at Newbury. Admittedly, he was possibly caught out by the slow tempo when last seen and it looks a positive move stepping up in distance to 1m 6f now. Salt Bay is the top-rated in the race and should get a target to aim at as the pace angle, Chesspiece, has the blinkers on to jostle him along.

15:20 Chester – Teraabb

TERAABB looked as if he was clearly on the climb with a super fast and late winning reappearance at Newbury two starts ago. He was only nudged up a little bit by the assessor for that performance but when he stepped up to the mile trip three weeks ago, the exaggerated waiting tactics were overdone. Given his stall one starting position now, he should get a perfect run around the inside from just off the front runners.

15:35 York – Serried Ranks

SERRIED RANKS didn’t run too badly at Sandown 50 days ago over 5f. The way the three-year-old started to gather momentum as the race was over was pleasing especially as he now steps up to 6f on his second start this season. There is a big pot on offer with over £50,000 to the winner and it looks to have been the aim as despite running in the King’s colours, he’s not entered at Royal Ascot next week.
