13:50 Haydock – Live In The Dream
If you’re backing Live In The Dream, you’re basically backing him not to miss the break. He’s usually fast out of the stalls and providing he breaks, he’s just too good for the opposition.
14:05 Beverley – Maw Lam (NAP) & Aviation Time (each-way)
Maw Lam isn’t a bad price considering how impressive she was at Thirsk when making a winning debut. I’ll side with her to win again but I also like Aviation Time as an each-way shout, who impressed when winning at Kempton. She quickened up well that day.
14:25 Haydock – Knightswood (each-way)
Maghlaak steps up in trip after a couple of runs over 10f but Knightswood is a safer selection. He’ll be banging on the door and with the shape of the race, he’s a better value pick. He’s guaranteed to run his race and he’s had a couple of decent runs at Doncaster and Ripon this year. He’s a tentative win shout but a good each-way pick.
14:40 Beverley – Shareholder
Shareholder was an expensive purchase and has been put in as market leader. We’ll see whether he stays there come race time. James Doyle is on board for Karl Burke. I’ll side with him.
15:00 Haydock – Queen Of The Pride
Sea Theme could go well but I’m siding with Queen Of The Pride for John and Thady Gosden. She’s only had three starts but she finished second last time out at Goodwood and she won at Leicester last season. There could be more improvement to come.
15:15 Beverley – Billyb
I’m with Billyb for Craig Lidster and Sam James. He has form over a mile and he’s down to a mark of 76 after being rated 88 around this time last year. He’s drawn in stall four which is solid, so he’ll do me!
15:35 Haydock – Tiber Flow
Witch Hunter was third in the Lockinge Stakes last time out but Sean Levey stole it after a brilliant ride. Him and Flight Plan could go well but this is a wide-open race and I’ll side with Tiber Flow for William Haggas and Tom Marquand. He had a terrible fall at York last time out but I’ll take a chance on him bouncing back.
