13:38 – Incremental
This can go to the lightly raced 4yo INCREMENTAL, who resumed his progress when beating 12 rivals at Windsor and a 3lb rise for that all-the-way win looks fair. Natzor has done well since joining David O’Meara and he’s feared most, although Sax Appeal looked stretched over 1m6f at Doncaster last time and he could make a bold bid on this drop back in trip.
14:08 – Ebts Guard
Having gone very close in two handicaps last month, EBT’S GUARD holds stand-out form claims and is taken to beat Sant Alessio, who is better than he showed on reappearance. The Harry Charlton-trained newcomer Arazzo could also run well.
14:38 – Jacquelina
Prospect (second choice) can go well back at 5f, while his stablemate Frank The Spark continues to threaten a bigger effort. One For The Ladies and The Grey Lass can both feature for the Easterby team but JACQUELINA, whose revised BHA mark is 17lb higher than the ceiling for this 0-58 handicap, can make it five on the spin.
15:08 – Brummell
A Girl Named Ivy was unconsidered in the betting when winning at Ayr last month and the form isn’t easy to assess. She’s bred to be useful though and brings potential to this handicap debut. Both Keldeo and BRUMMELL look more solid though, with the former set to be suited by today’s step up to 6f. Brummell had been on an upward curve in handicaps prior to Haydock last time but the ground may have been softer than ideal and he was racing away from the main action too.
15:38 – Noel Fox
There are grounds for expecting better from Royal Elysian, Kings Merchant and Aidan Andabettin but the two twice-raced fillies Miss Bodacious and NOEL FOX appeal most. The former did well to force a dead-heat at Chelmsford when last seen but that was four months ago and Noel Fox edges preference. While the form of her Salisbury win may be nothing out of the ordinary, she was still badly in need of the experience and she retains plenty of potential.
16:08 – Noisy Music (NAP)
The 3yo NOISY MUSIC (nap) was clear with a promising runner-up when winning on her handicap debut at Windsor on Monday and she can defy a 6lb penalty and make it 2-2 in handicaps. Fellow last-time-out winner It’s Showtime is feared most following a convincing victory at Lingfield, while La Boo could bounce back now back on better ground in first-time headgear.
16:40 – Phoenix Beach
Run This Way is ahead of the handicapper under a double penalty but last week’s wins came on soft ground and she’s tackling a quicker surface today. The Michael Dods duo Lord Abama and Atomise finished first and second in a big field over C&D last time but preference is for PHOENIX BEACH, who kept on well for third over 5f at Ripon last time and can capitalise on the step back up in trip. Dream Deal went close at Ayr last time and is second choice.
