A trappy event with question marks over many of the runners. Uncle Dick can go well back at 1m, while Cariad (second choice) can go well with her reappearance behind her, but EMBARKED is tentatively preferred. His stamina isn’t guaranteed but he was in the process of running well over C&D when badly impeded just over 1f out last month.

Thunder Flow hasn’t had the rub of the green in two handicaps so far, meeting trouble on the first occasion and then racing extremely wide at Chelmsford when last seen. Tom Marquand replaces a 7lb claimer today and he’s greatly respected despite the widest stall. Hearitfortheboys and Bint Havana Gold can go well but CRAFTY SPIRIT could prove a different proposition now he’s dropped to 6f and fitted with headgear for his handicap debut.

Having gone close at Lingfield last week, CERVARO DELLA SALA is taken to get off the mark at the eighth attempt. The twice-raced Lady Flora retains potential and is feared most ahead of Eternal Spring.
19:12 Hierarchy
The progressive Change Sings certainly wasn’t hindered by leading up the stands’ rail at Newmarket 11 days ago, but it’s unlikely he was flattered either and he remains a sprinter of interest. He’s not the only front-runner in this line up though and perhaps HIERARCHY, who wasn’t seen to best effect behind Change Sings at Newmarket, can build on that seasonal return and reverse the placings. Tyger Bay, Holy Fire and Capote’s Dream are best of the rest.
19:42 Cavallo Bay
Brindavan has the benefit of experience and he shaped with promise on debut but this could be a warm event judged on the pedigrees of the newcomers. Hott Shott (second choice) and Ingot both take the eye but Charlie Appleby has already unleashed some promising juveniles and the well-bred CAVALLO BAY could be another.
20:12 Shin Jidai (NAP)
Fair Angellica still has more to come back on AW and she’s high on the list, while Lou Lou’s Gift should appreciate 7f and Zainabb isn’t fully exposed just yet either. The Yarmouth handicap won by SHIN JIDAI (NAP) four weeks ago represents rock-solid form though and she looks to have been leniently treated with just a 2lb rise. She can confirm those placings with Bigger Than Giga who is feared most.
20:42 Red Dwarf
An open race in which the vote goes to RED DWARF, who came good when beating a clear second at Southwell last month and still looks feasibly treated off her revised mark. The reliable Gold Aura is feared most, although Golden Dove was runner-up over C&D last time and could make a big impact if this sets up for her closing style. Others to consider are Polar Princess and Mrs Twig who both won on AW on their penultimate runs.
