So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
14:50 Bath – Redorange (The Times)
This looks an interesting novice for the track with a few with proven ability taking on some newcomers of note. Binadham looked good at Yarmouth but he’ll have slower ground and a penalty to contend with today. Bolo Neighs and Emporess can both build on their promising debut runs but Mukaber, Aesterius and REDORANGE all look the part on paper. The last-named can maintain Clive Cox’s fine record with 2yos at Bath, but Aesterius must have impressed the Breeze Up shoppers to command such a lofty purchase price and he’s isn’t taken on lightly.
15:00 Goodwood – True Wisdom (Daily Record)
Charlie Johnston’s runner TRUE WISDOM is particularly interesting off 84 back on turf, being well handicapped on her 2yo success which came at the main expense of rivals who now have marks of 104 and 94. The thrice-raced fillies Ya Hafhd (second choice) and Juana Ines are likely to progress further, while Strutting may have more to offer back down in class. Several others also have respectable credentials in a warm fillies’ handicap.
15:15 Haydock – Aphrodites Rock (The Sun)
Tom Dascombe has some useful 2yos this year and preference is for the newcomer APHRODITES ROCK, a half-sister to two winners. Baileys Honeymoon. could be the main danger.
16:20 Haydock – Midream (Racing Post)
Group 2 winner Azure Blue has by far the best form but this week’s rain means she’s going into the unknown surface-wise, and at likely short odds it may pay to look elsewhere. MIDREAM is a half-sister to two-time Group 3 winner Vadream, who excels in testing conditions, and she has won the last two of her three starts. She is the selection ahead of the tough and reliable Sophia’s Starlight. Electric Storm and Queen Of Zafeen are other interesting contenders.
