Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

14:40 Catterick – One For The Ladies (The Times)

The mare ONE FOR THE LADIES is versatile ground-wise and is taken to return to winning ways on the back of two good runs last month. Testing ground would bring four-time course winner Rain Cap’s surplus stamina into play and he is second choice. Resilience, Birkenhead and Irish Dancer ran well last time out but slow ground would be a question mark for all of them.

15:20 Lingfield – Cervaro Della Sala (Racing Post)

Fenisa (second choice) made a promising start when third at Kempton and seems sure to be in the mix along with the returning Imola, while Intertwined shouldn’t be written off despite fluffing her lines at Redcar last time out. But CERVARO DELLA SALA should prove well suited by this step up in trip and she can gain a deserved first success back in maiden company.

17:42 Chelmsford – Star Runner (Daily Record)

While Sunny Street has clearly the best form, his failure to convert after five races rather takes the gloss off his claims. A chance is therefore taken that STAR RUNNER can build on the promise he showed last summer. His trainer Andrew Balding also runs Groovy Baby, who is also on the shortlist despite a wide draw, while Saaed bin Suroor fields Historic City and newcomer Hazem, who need a look. Shamran and Salik are two more newcomers to check out.

19:07 Sandown – Chesspiece (The Sun)

Trueshan looks up against it again but the rematch between the Sagaro Stakes second Caius Chorister and third Sweet William clearly has a vital bearing on this race. It’s not an easy one to call, with Caius Chorister just preferred given that this is only her second appearance over 2m, but CHESSPIECE having his first run at the trip also makes appeal. The Crisford runner’s final run last year suggested that it will suit him and he should be far more potent today than he was on his reappearance. Prydwen has blazed his way through 2m handicaps this spring and will have a say if he can transfer that form from the AW.
