14:10 – Harshwell Dandy
HARSWELL DANDY has run to a fair level when finding only one too good on both of her starts so far, faring the better of the pair who helped to force the pace at Ayr on her latest outing, so she is taken to open her account this time around. Sybaris Jewel is worth another chance to build on her debut promise and is feared most, ahead of J Street.
14:40 – Resilience
An open-looking sprint in which the preference is for RESILIENCE, who ran well from a workable mark when finding just one too strong at Wolverhampton earlier in the year, so Craig Lidster’s charge gets the nod to snap a losing run that goes back almost two years. The main threat may emerge from Irish Dancer, who showed his form when runner-up over course and distance recently, while Golden Rainbow and Birkenhead can fight out third spot.
15:10 – Sea The Green
SEE THE GREEN left his debut effort well behind, when switching to turf, as runner up at Ripon five weeks ago despite still being very green in the preliminaries. That was a promising performance, though, and with further improvement on the cards, Owen Burrows’ three-year-old can make it third time lucky at the expense of Yurinov, who will appreciate the step up in trip and is also open to progress. Positivia can edge out Belcamo for third spot.
15:40 – Noisy Music
NOISY MUSIC has shown real ability in three starts for Kevin Ryan, improving with each one, and she looks potentially well treated now starting out in handicaps. She has moved to a yard that do well with new recruits and could be worth chancing. Macarone ended his juvenile campaign well and shaped as if retaining all his ability at Pontefract on his return, so is shortlisted alongside Bestie, who ran well to make the frame here last month.
16:10 – White Umbrella
WHITE UMBRELLA can take her record to four wins from her last seven starts. She is thriving at present and a mark 13 lb higher than when winning over this course and distance in October looking manageable given her progress. Ghathanfar has slipped in the weights and proved his competitiveness from this mark when runner-up over course and distance earlier in the month, with Canaria Queen also considered on the back of her Wetherby success.
16:40 – Happier
A few are in with a squeak here, but HAPPIER turned in her best effort of the season when fifth at Ripon just under a fortnight ago and, now trying seven furlongs for the first time, a trip she shapes well to suit, and should be spot on. Cue’s Beau is two from two on turf but may have to settle for minor honours on this occasion, while handicap-debutante Lokana rounds off the shortlist.
17:15 – Without Delay
WITHOUT DELAY did well under the circumstances when getting back to winning ways at Musselburgh last time, not settling fully after racing wide without cover, and ending a losing run stretching back two years. She can build on that effort to score again from a workable mark. The main danger could be Rockin Rosa, who bounced back to form when third over this course and distance on her latest outing, with Key Look also considered.
17:50 – Mr Strutter
MR STRUTTER hasn’t been seen to best effect at this venue on his last two starts, keeping on having raced well off the pace on his latest outing without being given a hard time, so he looks one to keep on the right side off as he bids for a fifth course and distance success. Langholm has been placed here three times this season and isn’t taken lightly, while Musical Masquerade is another to note.
