We’re looking at the second leg of the Triple Crown at Pimlico. There’s a lot less moving parts than the Kentucky Derby with an intricate field.
Muth was the ante-post favourite for Bob Baffert, however, he’s a non-runner. With him out, Kentucky Derby winner Mystik Dan heads the betting. He got a dream passage that day and he got the split at the right time.
I’m not sure whether he can back up that performance a couple of weeks later, especially with him being short in the betting.
I’m taking him on with Imagination with Frankie Dettori on board. He was really well backed when second in the Santa Anita Derby and he’ll be fresh on Saturday night. He’s a cracking bet and Frankie will give him a great ride.
