The market should reveal plenty here but Richard Hannon’s juveniles are among the winners so his Mehmas colt HOFBURG is taken to add to the tally at the chief expense of fellow newcomers Feeraas (second choice) and The Outlaw who are also in good hands and bring a fair bit of potential. Charlie Appleby’s Symbol Of Honour should have learned plenty from his debut Newmarket sixth and needs considering too.

In-form maidens It’s Showtime (second choice) and Pannonica seem sure to be thereabouts once more but Marco Botti’s SO OBSESSED looked to have a bit up her sleeve when going in at Wolverhampton last time so gets the vote. La Verite also needs factoring into this open handicap.

On the back of a solid effort, SECRET HANDSHEIKH (NAP) is preferred. Faustus (second choice) and Skallywag Bay tie in with the selection on last-time-out form, while Nogo’s Dream is interesting back over 5f.

A few with chances but PROFIT AND LOSS has made a promising start since joining George Baker and can go one better than when runner-up at Kempton last time out. Hat-trick seeking Diamond Dreamer rates the obvious threat, although in-form trio Arlecchino’s Gift, Miss Moonshine and Pablo Del Pueblo all need considering too in this competitive handicap.
