STASH THE CASH looked like a very different proposition when winning very easily at Catterick last time out, admittedly under heavier ground conditions, but with the step up in distance to 6f and better underfoot ground to gallop on he can continue his climb up the ladder from a very lenient looking 72.
2:05 Chester – Arabian Cobra
The Hugo Palmer yard are well known for unleashing their best two-year-olds around this venue as owner and landlord Michael Owen loves to have winners at this meeting. ARABIAN COBRA has the former multiple champ Oisin Murphy on board and he should know his job and be able to take care of a few first-time-out winners.
2:35 Chester – Blue Storm
BLUE STORM looks to be a fantastic purchase for 7,000 guineas at the horses in training sale for the Gemma Tutty team. He made no mistake when clocking up a very fast 57.5 seconds over the flying five at Southwell in December. Kings Merchant posted a cosy success last time, but on the clock he may well have to play second fiddle to Blue Storm who is no stranger to carrying big weights.
3:05 Chester – Rubies Are Red
RUBIES ARE RED looks to have a lot to find, judged on her second to Galileo Dame last time. However, as a full sister to some of the stable’s top fillies like Found, there is every reason to expect her to improve. It all depends if she is dropped in and ridden more patiently, as was the case with her sister. She raced lazily in front last time, never really focused and could improve with the better ground conditions.
3:40 Chester – Hidden Law
HIDDEN LAW is not the biggest runner in the field but there is no doubt he is blessed with an awful amount of natural talent. He skipped clear in the closing stages at Newbury last time and may may well prove he has too much finishing speed for Irish raider Grosvenor Square.
