It is the final day of the Dante Festival at York and Tower Of London bids to make it three from three for the calendar year in the feature, the Group 2 Yorkshire Cup (3:45pm) where he faces six rivals including last year’s winner Giavellotto and Willie Mullins’ runner Vauban. The card also features a rematch between First Conquest and Lead Artist in the Class 2 Darley EBF Novice Stakes (4:15pm) but the latter gets a 6lbs swing in the weights from their meeting at Newmarket.
The Group 3 Saval Beg Levmoss Stakes (7:05pm) tops the bill at Leopardstown as 2022 winner Kyprios takes on last year’s scorer Yashin, while there are also Flat fixtures at Hamilton, Newbury and Newmarket.
Konondo Kwetu bids to bounce back from his bet365 Gold Cup flop by winning the Class 2 Huyton Asphalt Franny Blennerhassett Memorial Handicap Chase (7:30pm) for the second year in a row at Aintree. Kilbeggan also stages Jumps action.
