NAP of the Day: Today’s NAPs Table of horse racing tips across the UK & Ireland

There are seven meetings scheduled across the tracks in the UK and Ireland today – and our nifty NAPs Table is here to give you a steer on the day’s best bets.

Newmarket stages the first Classic of the season as City Of Troy bids to tick off the first leg of a potential Triple Crown title in the 2000 Guineas (3:35pm) but the Justify colt faces 10 rivals including Group 1 winner Rosallion. There are eight more races on a stacked card at HQ including the Class 2 William Hill Extra Place Races Handicap (1:45pm) featuring Summerghand on his 94th career start.

It is the final day of the Punchestown Festival where the new queen of the Jumps game, Lossiemouth, bids to complete a perfect campaign in the Grade 1 Coolmore N.H. Sires Bolshoi Ballet Irish EBF Mares Champion Hurdle (3:40pm) and there is further top-level action courtesy of the Ballymore Champion Four Year Old Hurdle (4:50pm).

Lillie Langtry winner Sumo Sam kicks off her four-year-old campaign in the Listed British Stallion Studs EBF Daisy Warwick Fillies’ Stake (3:20pm) at Goodwood, the Hunt Cup (2:40pm) tops the bill at Thirsk and there is also Flat action at Yarmouth.

Scottish Grand National seventh Ballygrifincottage is one of two runners for Dan Skelton in the Class 2 Staffordshire Plate Handicap Chase (5:45pm) at Uttoxeter, while 2022 Baring Bingham third Whatdeawant returns from a lengthy absence and makes his stable debut for Lucinda Russell in the Class 3 Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase (6:10pm) at Hexham.
