13:30 – Hamish
Hamish has a fantastic record and seemed to retain all his enthusiasm last year with a perfect 100 per cent record including at this venue. He has a very good record fresh and the prevailing conditions hold no fears for him whatsoever. He may well have too much of a change of gear late on for the likes of Arrest.
14:05 – Star Music
Star Music went through the grades quite nicely last season with a smooth Kempton success followed by an excellent effort at Newmarket behind Dance Sequence. The Richard Hughes yard couldn’t be any hotter at the moment so the absence of 190 days is no problem. Her ability to front run could mean she may well get to dictate the pace by herself.
14:40 – Watch My Tracer (each-way)
Watch My Tracer only found his top stride late in the day when taking care of a good field at Lingfield last time. He has an exaggerated knee action which suggests that he will handle a bit of dig the ground too. The George Scott yard are hot and he may well have a few lbs to find on ratings with some opponents, but he has a fitness edge and is a big each-way player.
15:15 – Lattam
Lattam was unlucky in the Lincoln at Doncaster not to collect for us and he reappears having been given a slight nudge up the handicap. He still looks as if he can take care of this field and a really strongly-run mile will suit him down to the ground. Let’s hope our jockey Ryan Sexton gives him a bit of daylight from the quarter-mile pole, as he takes his time to get into stride.
