14:00 Terresita
Gastibelza signed off in France with a comfortable win in a claiming chase in February and it will be interesting to see what Micky Hammond can do with her. But TERRESITA backed up her quite impressive C&D win with a very creditable third in a valuable Sandown race last month and ought to be hard to beat on a track that evidently suits her very well.
14:30 Easy Peasy
Concerns about her stable’s form persist but EASY PEASY was far too good for a fair rival when winning on her hurdling debut at Exeter in January and has a very good chance to follow up here. Twyford’s Diamond (second choice) misfired on her latest outing but has possibilities if judged on her Market Rasen third two starts ago. Get Sky High has been absent since her promising hurdle debut in November 2022 but should also play a significant role.
15:00 El Saviour
Bucksy Des Epeires will be very dangerous off today’s mark if able to match the form he showed in a valuable Sandown handicap in December but he hasn’t fired since. But preference is for EL SAVIOUR, who was one of two to pull a long way clear of the others when winning on last month’s handicap debut and remains unexposed over this sort of trip. Tedley will find this easier than last month’s handicap debut and is next on the list.
15:30 Kestrel Valley
Dual course winner Jet Plane was nudged up only 2lb for last month’s Sandown win but it’s not easy to predict whether he’ll be in the right mood again here. The suggestion is late-blooming mare KESTREL VALLEY, who also runs this track very well and drops back into a handicap after facing two tough assignments. One True King and Georges Saint also warrant serious consideration.
16:00 Balhambar (NAP)
Passing Kate has done well for her new stable this season, while fair Flat-racers Royal Deeside and Dundory (second choice) were placed on their handicap hurdle debuts and remain unexposed in this sphere. However, the one with the most potential is BALHAMBAR (nap), who kept on to take third in a Huntingdon maiden on last month’s stable debut and, if judged on Flat ability, could go very well off his opening hurdle mark.
16:30 Iskandar Pecos
Before Midnight (second choice) and Senior Citizen have the best CVs but both are on the downgrade now and neither really wants soft ground. ISKANDAR PECOS is the progressive one and most likely to give his true running.
