Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

15:00 Exeter – Iconic Muddle (Daily Mirror)

Raffle Ticket is an unusual contender for a veterans’ race, given that his best days could still be ahead of him, but his aptitude for a test like this has yet to be proved. ICONIC MUDDLE has been in fine form over 3m on his last two starts and he might well have won at Doncaster recently with a better jump at the last. He looks likely to go very well now returned to shorter, while Stormy Flight and Good Boy Bobby also have claims.

15:45 Wetherby – Lord Of Kerak (The Times)

Donny Boy will be a tough nut to crack if able to replicate his Newcastle form from December but the suggestion is last year’s runner-up LORD OF KERAK, who is 1lb lower this time and has posted another couple of good efforts in defeat this season, most notably when losing out only narrowly to a progressive subsequent winner at Leicester in December. Cerendipity moves up in trip today and might also feature.

16:00 Exeter – Desert Fortune (The Telegraph)

Lightly raced mare DESERT FORTUNE shaped very much as though this return to 3m will suit when keeping on well for second over 2m4f on last month’s seasonal/stable/chase debut, and there’s a good chance that outing has brought her on. She gets the vote ahead of River Tyne, who returned to form on her latest outing. Last-time-out winner Lightonthewing also has possibilities, but he has become very inconsistent.

19:00 Wolverhampton – Mammy (Daily Mail)

Lady In Havana had an excuse last time and she’d be a danger to all if back to her best. Sir Bolton ran with more promise than the bare figures suggest on his stable debut 17 days ago and he could be a different proposition dropped in class with the run behind him, while Twenty Bob, Fengari and Sub Thirteen (second choice) also have something to recommend them. MAMMY looks a likely improver upped in trip for her handicap debut though and there’s a fair case for her being well treated on her Ripon effort last summer.
