13:15 x Coco Mademoiselle

COCO MADEMOISELLE shaped better than being pulled up suggests at Ascot last time, one of the quintet who looked to hold a chance turning in before folding as though amiss, and is likely to be back on her game, which should be enough for her to get the better of Roccos Inspiration, the other previous winner in the field. Spring Gale looks the best of the others.

13:50 Imperial Alex

Although IMPERIAL ALEX’s seconds over fences are mounting up, he doesn’t obviously do much wrong, unlucky to bump into one for the fourth consecutive time at Leicester last time, and he can deservedly get his head in front here off bottom weight. Last month’s Taunton second and third Airtothethrone and Lubeat Foras may give Tom Lacey’s charge most to do.

14:25  Haiti Couleurs

HAITI COULEURS was biting off more than he could chew in graded company at Haydock last time, but he had made a pleasing start over hurdles before that, finishing runner-up to a couple of nice types, and he gets the nod over Constitution Hill’s half-brother Land Genie, who looks ready made for this step up in trip, while the consistent Bertie Wooster is another to consider.

15:00 Sedge Wren

SEDGE WREN hasn’t been seen since landing a brace of novices last season, but the form of the second of those wins has worked out well and, from a fair-looking opening mark, she’s taken to defy a 13-month absence and make a successful start to her life in handicaps. Blue Beach was only narrowly denied back over hurdles by a course specialist at Market Rasen and looks sure to go well again, while Exeter-scorer Tilly Toughnut remains unexposed.

15:35 Thor De Cerisy

It was hard not to be impressed with THOR DE CERISY when scoring over course and distance just over three weeks ago, so Neil Mulholland’s 10-y-o is fancied to make light of an 8 lb rise and follow up, likely at the expense of Happy And Fine, who had his winning run ended faced with an entirely different test in the Timeform Novices’ Handicap Chase at Cheltenham and can make his mark back in a small-field environment. Scene One looks best of the remainder.

16:10 King Of Brazil

KING OF BRAZIL bumped into a couple of subsequent winners at Bangor last time, so that form has a solid look to it, and he looked good when winning at Huntingdon previously, so he can quickly resume winning ways with most of his rivals having something to prove. Walkinthewoods confirmed his return to form when second over course and distance three weeks ago and is the obvious threat.

16:45 Mulinas

The ones with experience don’t set an exacting standard in this bumper, so MULINAS, who represents the in-form Paul Nicholls, is taken to make a winning start. He cost £170,000 after winning a point and represents a yard that do well in this sphere. Exeter runner-up Peacenik and Oak Grove are feared with experience under their belt.
