Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

14:00 Catterick – Golfe Clair

A tricky contest with the entire field having something to prove. Hajey and Rocky Man (next best) have the ability to have a say, while a win for either Singapore Trip or Harper Valley would be no great surprise. However, it may be worth taking a chance on GOLFE CLAIR, who is coming along steadily after an absence and could now strike from a handy mark.

15:30 Catterick – El Jefe

This can go to EL JEFE, who has already won three times this season and ran as though needing the race after a break when fourth at Carlisle last week. Front-runner The Churchill Lad and confirmed mudlark Milldam are two others to consider in an open-looking handicap.

16:15 Plumpton – Birdman Bob

An open race and preference for BIRDMAN BOB is only marginal. He has been running in lower-grade races than this but has a good record in handicaps here and there looked to be no shortage of stamina in his finishing effort over C&D last time out. Kaleb is tempting right down in class on his excellent Cheltenham run two starts ago but he goes in blinkers after running flat at Kempton since and headgear was no help when fitted once before. Homme D’un Soir should also be in contention.

18:00 Wolverhampton – Wake Up Harry

An open contest where preference is just for WAKE UP HARRY. Brian Toomey’s Kempton winner was a little too free over C&D last time but that was still a good effort and blinkers might just help draw out a bit more. The consistent Mumayaz remains vulnerable but may be the one to chase him home, while Big Narstie and Dion Baker can also fight out minor honours.
