13:00 Kings Halo

Getting a minimum of 20lb from his opponents here, KINGS HALO is worth a bet based on recent consistency. The main danger may be Gracchus De Balme who returns from a break. The bar is not set too high for Spirit Of Legend in his first handicap.

13:35 Katakana

Gordon Elliott’s selected Ndaawi has shown potential for maiden hurdle success but was not given a Triumph entry, unlike Noel Meade’s Dutch Gold, who deserves respect as a 92-rated Flat performer, and KATAKANA, an interesting recruit for Henry de Bromhead. She gets the vote having won two of her three starts in AQPS events in France.

14:10 Zarak The Brave

It was one of the shocks of the season when the Galway Hurdle winner ZARAK THE BRAVE was beaten at Tipperary but he was found to be clinically abnormal. If restored to the full of his health he should account for these rivals, best of whom is probably Tellmesomethinggirl.

14:45 Letsbeclearaboutit

The all-round concession of 6lb will not make this way but the trip may help to bring out the best in LETSBECLEARABOUTIT whose first three chase starts were at 2m4f before being dropped in distance last time. The Willie Mullins-trained runners have contrasting profiles, and debut chase winner Embassy Gardens may have the measure of Paddy Power victor Meetingofthewaters.

15:15 Icare Desbois

Not many count here. Butcher Hollow along with Nas Na Riogh and to a lesser extent Cleatus Poolaw have the credentials to win a maiden hurdle. However, bumper winner ICARE DESBOIS was close to his best when third in a very informative Leopardstown maiden hurdle last time and should be good enough.

      15:45 Pride Of Place (NAP)

The likes of Millstream Lady, Heliko Conti, and recent course winner American Money all come here in form, but the selection is PRIDE OF PLACE (NAP), who would have been very close to American Money but for a bad mistake at the last and has plenty of scope for improvement.

      16:20 Jasmin De Vaux

This could principally involve the two unbeaten point winners. Big Stage won well at Tinahely, but JASMIN DE VAUX could be an exciting prospect after winning easily at Loughanmore in the spring. Cases can also be made for Limerick runner-up Remember’hesmine and Punchestown third Glendaars Fortune.
