When is the Clarence House Chase 2024? Cheltenham date, start time, runners and betting

A week later than planned...

Edwardstone, Editeur Du Gite and Energumene jump a fence at Cheltenham

For the second season in a row, the Clarence House Chase is set to take place at Cheltenham after weather conditions forced Ascot to abandon one of their highest-profile Jumps meetings.

Run over 2m1f, the Grade 1 Clarence House Chase is one of the highlights of the season for the slickest jumpers in the game and it is a key pointer for the Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

Ascot’s abandonment meant a potential clash between El Fabiolo and Jonbon – which sparked memories of Shishkin and Energumene’s almighty duel in 2022 – will have to wait after the Irish contender was rerouted to the Dublin Racing Festival.

You can run the rule over our Clarence House Chase odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise all the key details about next year’s renewal can be found below.
