13:05 Kodebreaker
KODEBREAKER is on a losing run of 19 that stretches back to March but he has been in good heart of late and has finished third on his last three outings. The race Kodebreaker contested at Southwell a couple of weeks ago looked like a good one for the grade and he ought to go well off the same mark here.
That Southwell race was over seven furlongs but he had been placed over this course and distance on his previous two starts so will have no issue stepping back up in distance.
13:40 Palace Boy
PALACE BOY landed a gamble over this course and distance on his first start for Ralph Smith last month, proving a long way ahead of his mark as he drew six lengths clear in the straight.
Palace Boy has a 10lb higher mark to cope with here but he was impressive last time, while the form he showed when runner-up to Luccia in a listed novice hurdle at Exeter last year suggests there could be a bit more to come.
14:15 Al Farabi
AL FARABI boasts a good pedigree – he is by Kingman and out of Oh So Sharp Stakes winner Altyn Orda – and he has made a promising start to his career. Al Farabi shaped well when runner-up on his handicap debut at Newcastle last month, moving through the race like a horse on a decent mark only to be seen off by another well-treated rival.
He remains open to improvement after only four starts and his trainer Roger Varian has his team in excellent order.
