RESET BUTTON hasn’t won for two years, but he has now fallen 2 lb below that mark as a result, and he may be worth chancing after shaping as if in need of the run after seven months off over a mile and a half at Southwell 12 days ago. The step back up in trip will definitely be in his favour and he has been found a weak handicap. New York Bay arrives in pursuit of a hat-trick so has to be feared.
COME ON GIRL is on a lengthy losing run, but she has been running consistently well of late, finishing placed on her last three starts, all over this trip. She is also down to a mark which is 3 lb below her last winning mark and she didn’t finish far behind a well-handicapped, thriving rival who has since won again at Wolverhampton last week. Come On Girl is in a slightly easier race now and seems sure to launch another bold bid. Kitbag and All In The Hips could give her most to do.
This doesn’t look the strongest race of its type, the ones with prior experience not setting the bar too high, so it may be worth chancing a newcomer, and the Ralph Beckett-trained DIVINE BREATH fits the bill. She is closely related to Vape and is a half-sister to several winners, and represents a yard who do have first-time-out winners. Ocean Bliss more than hinted at ability on her debut at the Curragh last August and is a potential improver setting out for Mick Appleby.
Having shaped a bit better than the result when last seen at Newmarket in November, BOAFO BOY returns from a career-low mark and, given he has plenty of form on the all-weather, the in-form Stuart Williams-trained five-year-old earns the tentative nod over Conquest of Power, who has finished runner-up on both previous visits to this venue over sprint trips. Glencalvie and L’Argent (who takes a significant drop back in trip) can battle out minor honours.

STELLA HOGAN showed improved form from out of the blue to open her account over seven furlongs at Kempton in October and she has run well in defeat twice since. She was ridden more forcefully than usual back at Kempton last time, leading from an early stage but headed in the final furlong and having nothing more left to give. The return to a mile may be what she needs and, under a more patient ride, she should remain competitive from the same mark. Havana Goldrush and Island Native are feared most.
CRYPTOS DREAM has been rejuvenated by the switch to Jack Jones, winning three times and going close to scoring again when third at Wolverhampton last month. She can add to her tally this time around, with Curtiz feared most from his career-low mark, though Mirabello Bay also arrives in good form and is another to consider.
