This looks very competitive for the grade and the suggestion is COBH HARBOUR, who has taken a step forward with each start and could be well treated on his handicap debut. Should he misfire, there are plenty of others who could take advantage. Dion Baker heads that list, while Mumayaz, stablemate Autumn Angel, Surprise Picture and Pessoa are others with claims.

Like most of these, last-time winner Romanovich has been an in-and-out performer and he might struggle to come up with a repeat success now back in a handicap. Preference is for HELLAVAPACE, who has been heavily involved on her last two starts and may well be good enough to claim a second C&D win. Inexplicable and the old boy Brave Display both look capable of making an impact.

A longstanding maiden MY GIRL SIOUX needs things to fall right and slow starts have compromised her chances of late but she may be worth taking a chance on here at a fair price. More obvious claims are held by the likes of James Henry, Jazzy Dancer and Zig Zag Zyggy with The Fog Horn a potential improver.
