14:10 Market Rasen – Anglers Crag (Brian Flanagan)

ANGLERS CRAG is a point/hurdles/bumper winner who got off the mark over fences on stable debut at Carlisle last time (3m2f, good to soft; first run after wind surgery). Stiffer task off this 5lb higher mark and this is a very different track, but well worth considering.

19:00 Southwell – Excel Power (Lambourn)

EXCEL POWER is back off his last winning mark when only just caught at Chelmsford (1m, Polytrack) last month. Just 1lb higher but he is normally seen over further these days and may find this an inadequate test.

19:30 Southwell – Enola Grey (The Punt)

ENOLA GREY was the runner-up in both starts over C&D, including in a 0-90 last month, and has since scored twice under Ethan Jones at Newcastle (1m, Tapeta). Up another 5lb in her hat-trick bid and she usually gives away ground at the start, but it doesn’t seem to stop her and she continues to progress.

20:00 Southwell – Inexplicable (Rory Paddock)

INEXPLICABLE is a Wolverhampton specialist, also the scene of his last win (8.5f, Class 6). Struggling for form when last seen but, returning from a short break, is still more appealing than many and has a place chance.
