Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
Aintree runner-up Goonhilly can probably win soon but he doesn’t set a particularly daunting standard of British hurdling form and this may be fought out by the two recruits from France. Joyeuse changed hands for big money after her winning bumper debut in 2022 but TUTTI QUANTI ran well under a very positive ride when second over hurdles last summer and might be the answer.
The most interesting runner is Zoffee, who has developed into a very useful staying handicapper on the Flat over the last couple of years and could be on a very good mark for this first hurdling start since 2020. However, the selection is handicap debutant EL RIO, who might have found the good ground too lively when below form on his seasonal debut in November, but is a big player if judged on last spring’s stylish Ascot win. Vicki Vale, Mr Freedom and Ask Brewster also make significant appeal in this competitive race.
Pallas Lord has finished runner-up on Tapeta in his last two starts and should be in the thick of things again. The reliable Little Ted has possibilities back from a short break, while four-time C&D winner Pop Favorite is respected on his step back up in trip. However, it might be worth siding with RECLAIM VICTORY, who is on her last winning mark and was an eyecatcher in a similar race here last week.
Atrafan’s record in these races is particularly strong and he looks sure to go well but perhaps GUNMETAL can take advantage of the drop in grade now back on a track where he’s run well in the past. There was the faintest glimmer of promise in a much better race than this at Newmarket in August and again at Southwell recently so perhaps he will be able to roll back some years in this company. Margot Robbie, Beneficiary, Mutabaahy and Rebelle Lady are others in the mix.
