Heros De Romay, a son My Risk, created a really good impression winning on heavy ground last January in a bumper. He then won at Chepstow on heavy in a race that will throw up plenty of winners. He sets a good standard in this.
13:00 Majestic Jameela
Jamie Snowden is having a very good season and his Fresh Kiss will be popular having raced in France off a rating of 82. I am going for one who is proven on the ground and who can jump well. This is not a great contest so experience could count for plenty and Majestic Jameela won on heavy at Leicester.
13:35 Magic Saint
Magic Saint is capable of so much better than this handicap mark gives him credit for. He bolted up at this track a few years ago off a mark of 142. His career-high is 154 he races here off 125. This time last year he got beat in a Hunters’ Chase when rated 140 over a trip of 2m5f. Two-miles is his trip and he can win off this mark.
14:10 Daany
The bare form of his fourth-placed finish at Exeter doesn’t look that strong, but Daany’s second at this track in November reads well. He looks like a bit of a non-stayer and for that reason, the two-mile trip on this ground is ideal. There may well be some jockey switches and it wouldn’t surprise me if Harry Cobden switched here now that Sandown is abandoned.

14:45 Jacamar
There is no doubting that Jacamar is a character, but he ran a nice race last time. His handicap mark has slipped to one he can be really competitive off. The slow ground will help as the others will be stopping in the latter stages of this contest. His style of racing should be suited to this contest.
15:20 Don’t Rightly Know (each-way)
Individualiste races unpenalised for his win in a conditional jockeys’ race at Taunton. He has form on a very soft surface and the manner of his victory last time means he will be a short price. If there is value in this contest it may well be Don’t Rightly Know each way. She was very unlucky last time when hanging left and likes the conditions. A big player to hit the places or better.
15:50 Caeruleum
Caeruleum was second to the favourite Percy Veering at Exeter last time and enjoys a little pull in the weights which makes Percy Veering a little vulnerable now. Caeruleum was well fancied to win last time and with a tongue tie on now, can get the job done this time.
