12:12 D Art D Art
Will Wilde finished in front of D ART D ART at Naas last month but the former had the benefit of a comeback run and D Art D Art may resume progress back down in trip on heavy ground. Paggane is a likely improver on just her second run for Willie Mullins having run okay at Navan first time out and St Faz had an excuse when last seen; he may be capable of making the frame.
12:47 Flamborough (NAP)
Not much between these on paper, but FLAMBOROUGH (NAP) makes plenty of appeal as a C&D winner who was generally reliable during 2023. His third placing in the Naas November Handicap reveals him as a better horse on the Flat than Striking though they hold an identical chance on hurdle ratings. Recent Limerick winner Starman should reach the money.
13:22 Largy Hill
The standard is set by bumper winner Zaidi but he didn’t improve for a step up to this sort of trip last time and he might be vulnerable to improver. Glen Kiln, Jasmine De Cotte and LARGY HILL should all appreciate more of a stamina test with preference for Largy Hill who chased home Grade 2-placed Stellar Story at Navan last time and he shaped like this sort of test would suit.
13:57 Abbeydale
Gordon Elliott’s runner ABBEYDALE probably has more potential for improvement than any of the others and should be suited by the trip judged on a staying-on fourth over 2m in his first handicap. Da Capo Glory has taken on much stronger opposition than this in the past and should be involved. Cato’s Revenge won his first handicap with plenty to spare.
14:32 Jet Setting Johnny
A few in with claims but JET SETTING JOHNNY has made a promising start to his chase career, producing a career best when a close third at Clonmel last month and that form is working out nicely. Noble Blue is an obvious threat if he can get back to the level of his second on chase debut and Nephin Beg was still involved when coming down last time.

15:07 Weihnachts
Despite being 3lb out of the handicap, WEIHNACHTS may be able to repeat last year’s victory in this race for his in-form trainer. He is slightly preferred to the veteran R’evelyn Pleasure, a recent winner at Limerick, and Street Value, whose victory in the 3m5f Porterstown Chase at Fairyhouse was his first since landing this prize two years ago.
15:42 Familiar Dreams
This isn’t a deep race and it could be a good opportunity for FAMILIAR DREAMS to get off the mark. She was knocking on the door in bumpers last season and probably needed her reappearance effort. Knockarina could have a say if she builds on her latest third and Shannon Bank is another that has shown ability. Any support for Cathedral Rocks could be significant ahead of her debut.
