Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

13:15 Ayr – Clovis Boy (The Sun)

Beat The Retreat is respected back up in trip after his win here last month, while it would be no surprise if third-home Ambush Annie finished closer to him this time.

Follow Charlie ran well on handicap debut here last time and shouldn’t have a problem with the longer trip, but the vote goes to topweight CLOVIS BAY who got off the mark in heavy ground at Hexham last time. Further progress is very possible and conditions are likely to be similar.

13:30 Fakenham – Ya Know Yaseff (West Country)

YA KNOW YASEFF has a somewhat mixed record over fences but won twice (2m7f/3m2f) when blinkers were added in September and gave good account when second a Wincanton (3m1f, soft) a fortnight ago; ran well (over hurdles) on only previous visit to Fakenham and has strong claims if on a going day.

15:00 Fakenham – El Jefe (Racing Post)

There is no strong temptation to oppose EL JEFE, who has been in superb form in recent weeks and can extend his winning spree. Out Of Focus has made a very solid start to his handicap career at about 2m and could still have untapped potential over 2m4f. The 2020 winner Haafapiece can also feature.

17:00 Wolverhampton – Pontius (Lambourn)

Ten-race maiden who has endured a couple of lengthy absences in his career; PONTIUS has plenty of placed form to make him of interest down at this level.
