14:00 Duke Of Oxford
Top of the list is Michael Bell’s progressive gelding DUKE OF OXFORD, who has won over 2m at Kempton in his last two starts including a comfortable success in a Class 2 event last time. Topweight Roberto Escobarr has landed Group 3 contests in two of his last four runs and he’s feared most ahead of Enemy, who was runner-up behind the selection last month.
Evaluation is on a workable mark and has claims if he gets some luck, while others to consider are Pleasant Man and Onesmoothoperator.
14:35 Sense Of Worth
Plenty have possibilities but the vote goes to SENSE OF WORTH, who got back in the groove with a clearcut win at Southwell 11 days ago and remains well treated on his old form.
The unexposed Flindrikin is open to more progress and she’s feared most ahead of Great Blasket, who made it 3-5 in handicaps when scoring on his recent stable debut at Wolverhampton. Recent course winner Mercurius Power is respected on his step back up in trip, while Carbis Bay also makes the shortlist.

15:10 To Catch A Third (NAP)
Penzance has slammed King’s Code and Storm Catcher at Chelmsford on his last two starts and, although he’s up in the weights and class, his ceiling is yet to be established. Storm Catcher, impressive over C&D last summer, may get much closer to him today though and he’s the second choice, but TO CATCH A THIEF (NAP) could still be ahead of his mark and is preferred.
The unexposed Newmarket raider has shown his merit in steadily run events on his last two starts, but there must be a good chance a more truly run race will prompt further progress.
15:45 Helm Rock
Another competitive handicap. Ron O is up in class but he won well at Southwell last time and could still have more to come. Chuzzlewit offered promise of better last month, while Tempus and Symbol Of Light also come into the reckoning.
The two against the field are Dear My Friend, who has a good record fresh, boasts a Listed win over C&D and who has had gelding and wind operations since last seen, and HELM ROCK. The selection shaped well at Chelmsford on his return from a short break last time and he could be that bit sharper today.
16:15 Jilly Cooper
Wild Side (second choice) and Nine Tenths may well be capable of further progress. However, an interesting alternative is JILLY COOPER who looks well handicapped and returns to her optimum trip on only her second run for a new stable.

16:45 Blue Prince
An interesting race of its type with three of the field chasing hat-tricks. Sommelier didn’t beat much at Kempton six weeks ago, but he was visually impressive and the Topspeed figure stacks up well so he can’t be ignored off top weight now handicapping.
Harvanna and Brave Empire return from absences but the latter looked promising when last seen and he needs a close market check. Bazball and Neapolitan should go well, but BLUE PRINCE picked up smartly to win at Southwell 11 days ago and he could still be improving despite having had ten runs as a 2yo.
17:15 Brewing
A sprint handicap that wouldn’t look out of place at a Grade 1 track in the height of summer. Richard Hannon saddles two live contenders in Tacarib Bay and Gisburn, while Pendleton, Batal Dubai, Admiral D Fivethousandtoone and Summerghand all have something to recommend them.
Albasheer (second choice) should find it easier to settle today and he is greatly respected but BREWING is just preferred. William Haggas’s 5yo found plenty for pressure when maintaing his unbeaten Newcastle record in November and a 4lb rise may have underestimated his superiority that day.
