Recent C&D winner JAYTEE remains well treated on this year’s best chase form and can follow up. Butler’s Brief was below par at Bangor last time but won at Kelso previously and is feared most.

12:30 Ezmerellda

The Alan King-trained EZMERELLDA was an encouraging fifth in a Listed race at Newbury on her hurdle debut and earns the vote in these calmer waters. Useful Flat performer Therapist is open to improvement on her second hurdle start and her trainer Nicky Henderson has won two of the last three runnings of this race. She may be the main danger, ahead of three-time French Flat winner and hurdling newcomer Love True.

    13:05 Onemorefortheroad (NAP)

    Things clicked again in a big way for ONEMOREFORTHEROAD (NAP) on his recent chase debut over C&D and he can follow up that comfortable win. Parisencore was a promising second on his chase debut at Ayr last time and may be the chief threat ahead of Wetherby runner-up Ukantango.

    13:40 Limerick Lace

    Zambella has won the last two runnings and she has to be respected, but she faces a tougher task this time around against Fantastic Lady and LIMERICK LACE. Preference is for the progressive Irish-trained 6yo who was a fine second in the Troytown Handicap at Navan last month, although the highly admirable Fantastic Lady is a big danger.

    14:15 Bhaloo

    Bumper winner BHALOO stayed on for third over 2m at Kempton on last month’s hurdle debut and can come out on top now upped in trip. The penalised Parade Away has a solid profile and is second choice ahead of Dancing In Brazil, who could be suited by today’s new distance. Banteer and Altior’s half-brother Montecam are also open to improvement.

        14:45 Twinjets

        With further progress on the cards, TWINJETS is taken to defy a 9lb rise for his recent C&D success. Dreaming Blue is next best on last-time-out form but Erne River and One More Fleurie could revive back at Doncaster.

        15:20 Wholeofthemoon

        Having travelled well when winning in a first-time hood over 2m3f here a fortnight ago, WHOLEOFTHEMOON is taken to make it 2-2 in handicap hurdles. Last-time-out Lingfield winner Tintintin is unexposed and could also have more to offer so is next on the list, although Rewired and East End Girl could also be dangerous.
