Ready preference is for FLINDRIKIN (nap), who looks the type to do well in middle-distance handicaps and appears to have a very workable opening mark judged on breeding. Fellow 3yos Blue Yonder and My Roxanne are solid contenders who may prove the main dangers, in that order.
16:00 Struck Gold
This is deeper than the two races STRUCK GOLD won last month but he remains unexposed over this trip and is the one to beat as he chases a hat-trick off a mark just 1lb higher than at Chelmsford last time. Sandret, who likes it here and goes well fresh, can give the selection most to think about.
16:30 Enola Grey
She doesn’t make life easy for herself with slow starts but the in-form ENOLA GREY has the ability to take just a 2lb rise in her stride. Inverlochy, who beat the selection here in November, is feared most. Clipsham Gold won’t be far away.
17:00 Bystander
It will be interesting to gauge the level of confidence behind BYSTANDER who has been off since a poor debut in April. However, he did go off a hot favourite that day and his powerful owner is keeping the faith. August is the second choice after a competitive stable debut and Yasmina is also considered.
17:30 Jahidin
Being a game sort who is 2-2 over C&D and could well have even more to offer at this track, JAHIDIN is particularly appealing. Interesting handicap debutant Al Farabi is feared most, ahead of The Turpinator.

18:00 Filly One
Himawari offered a bit of promise on her debut but the drop from 7f may not be ideal and this looks good for FILLY ONE as she bids to follow up her C&D win under a penalty.
18:30 Hand Jive
Professor Tickle and Magic Fluke are closely matched and entitled to fancy their chances, but others need considering. Keen Interest is a dark one and Havana Smoke is no doubt capable of better, but HAND JIVE gets the nod. He’s done well when tackling Tapeta and all things considered his Kempton effort was pretty decent.
19:00 Hour By Hour
Several in-form handicappers on show here and it looks a strong race for the grade. The waters are muddied by Iain Jardine running four, each of whom can have a case argued. Last year’s winner After John (second choice) is of obvious interest, while Kats Bob likes it here and Andrew Mullen rides Sibyl Charm, but it could be HOUR BY HOUR who proves the pick of the four. The return to 6f looks sure to be in his favour. Dangers abound, with The Caltonian, Secret Road, Phoenix Beach and Rory all coming here in good order.
