16:25 – Branding

This isn’t the strongest of races and I don’t think it’ll take much winning! Oh So Bright is interesting but I’m siding with Branding. He travelled well earlier this month before getting tired as that was his first run since July. He’ll improve a lot for that run and I’m going to chance on him bouncing back. He’s got decent Turf form and he could be the value pick if taking to the all weather surface.

17:00 – Sailors Warning (NAP)

There’s a few who could have a slight chance, but I’m with Sailors Warning, who caught the eye at Dundalk last year. We didn’t see her for over a year and she returned earlier this month to finish sixth on reappearance. She’ll have improved for that run and should be very hard to beat.

17:30 – On Our Radar

There’s a couple of exposed runners in here but On Our Radar is definitely not one of them. He won over course and distance in the summer and he’s got decent form on the grass also. I’ll forgive his last run at Listowel on soft ground as he has decent polytrack form that will stand to him now.

18:00 – Not Forgotten

I reckon Brains will win a race at some point but I can’t side with him just yet. There’s a lot of pace in this race and those who break out cleanly will take each other on and that could play into the hands of a closer. Not Forgotten fits the bill. He won last time out at Dundalk in November and he’s got a good draw in stall one. Barbapapa and Sea Chariot could be the main threats.

18:30 – Glyde Ranger

Vultan could go well and Riyami is also a threat, but I can’t go against Glyde Ranger. His last run at Dundalk was decent and stepping up in trip will really suit him. He can show improvement from his last run. He’s bottom of the weights and he sets a good standard. James Ryan is on board and his 5lb claim could be invaluable.

19:00 – Spinning Web

Sand Castle will set the pace and that will suit Spinning Web perfectly. He’s found his niche on the polytrack and he just did enough to win at Dundalk in November. Now that he’s got his head in front, he can win again. He’s ahead of the handicapper even with his 6lb rise.

19:30 – Sky Legend

Sky Legend has had plenty of runs but still hasn’t got his head in front. I’m backing him to do so on Friday! He’s been running in decent races and running to a good standard. He’s shaped well at Dundalk on a couple of occasions and his draw in stall one will help him get cover before making his move.

20:00 – Satono Chevalier

This is a competitive enough race and I’m on Satono Chevalier for Richard John O’Brien. He finished third at Dundalk earlier this month after a long layoff and as soon as I saw that race I fancied him to win next time out – and I haven’t changed my mind. He finished strongly and he’s got brilliant Dundalk form. Benavente seems the main danger.
