Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

14:05 Bangor – Shallow River (Daily Mail)

His stamina heads into unknown territory today but SHALLOW RIVER went down fighting in a better race than this at Carlisle six weeks ago and gets the nod ahead of Chris Cool, who beat two next-time-out winners when switched back to hurdling for last month’s seasonal debut. Astronomic View moves up in trip after a good effort on his handicap debut and is next on the list.

14:15 Doncaster – Storminhome (Telegraph)

It was a strong race in which STORMINHOME finished tired at Exeter but he’s better than that, as his Huntingdon effort confirms. Scrum Diddly would appreciate the ground drying out and he has to be feared after pushing a progressive horse close at Ascot when 2lb higher. Brandy McQueen and Twinjets are next on the list.

14:25 Cheltenham – Up Helly Aa King (Racing Post)

The major concern for about half the field is that this trip will prove too short, whereas there is some concern that soft ground over an extended 2m4f will prove too much of a stamina test for the otherwise appealing Le Ligerien. He’s still the second choice but a chance is taken on the reappearing UP HELLY AA KING, who put up a bold show over 2m5f first time out last season. Go Steady and Top Ville Ben are also seriously considered.

14:50 Doncaster – Listentoyourheart (Daily Record)

Dan Skelton’s LISTENTOYOURHEART smacked of a smart prospect when justifying market confidence at Sedgefield and there’s substance to that form. Second choice is Magical Annie who was bought for £140,000 after winning at Galway, while Rula Bula won with sufficient authority at Warwick to also be high up the list.
