Head Over Hinds ran well for a long way at Hereford in October and is open to more progress, while Dropitlikeitshot enters the reckoning after her promising run over same course and distance (C&D) last month. Olly Murphy’s Juri needs a close look, while there are several other newcomers who need watching in the market including Land Of Moon and Jasper Boy.
However, it might be worth sticking with MY LOUISE, who finished well when justifying support at Fontwell in September and could be a major force again under a penalty in her bid to make it 2-2.
13:05 Jeune Belle
Royal Athena has the jumping experience but this can be between JEUNE BELLE and Golden Millie who enter the hurdling arena after some useful efforts in bumpers.
The selection has the stronger form and came on from her Huntingdon win when runner-up at Cheltenham recently but there is also plenty to like about Golden Millie who made a good impression at Sandown in the spring and is likely to make a jumper. Madam Ryder also needs a mention.
13:35 Foxey
Few of these arrive in any worthwhile form and although FOXEY‘s latest effort hinted he may appreciate further, he might still prove good enough to win this dropping back in trip.
Erigmoor is on a dangerous mark if he can bounce back but Millies Mite looks perhaps the most solid option to chase home the selection, with Wonderweasle a possible improver.
14:05 Chandlers Bay (NAP)
An open race with some interesting prospects, not least CHANDLERS BAY (NAP) who did well to get as close as he did on his final qualifying run at Plumpton and is likely to come into his own now handicapping. Celtic Ned and Nordic Tiger also fall into this bracket, while Tintintin should come on for his Cheltenham run, when nearly 8l behind Artistic Endeavour but without that one’s fitness edge.
14:35 Ramore Will
Moonlighter looks primed for a good run but RAMORE WILL has a good course record and a more convincing recent win record than any. Inevitably, most of the runners are not as consistent as they used to be but Saint Xavier has less on his plate than usual and Mister Murchan ran his best race for a while in April so good runs from them would not be a surprise.
15:05 Rocco Royale
An interesting race in which the vote goes to ROCCO ROYALE, who beat some subsequent winners when landing a Fontwell maiden in April and is open to more progress on this handicap debut.
Joker De Mai was an eyecatcher in a useful novice at Newbury last month and he’s feared most, although there are some other unexposed types who need a close look including I’d Like to Know and Hallwood. Colonial Empire is exposed in this sphere but he was a good third at Musselburgh last month and is respected back up in trip.
15:35 Heaven Smart
This could revolve around Felton Bellevue and HEAVEN SMART who finished close up when second and third in a big-field handicap over C&D 11 days ago.
The former remains well handicapped on his best chase form but slight preference is for Heaven Sent who has had only two runs over fences and is open to more progress in this sphere. Most of the others have plenty to prove but Sforza Castle needs watching in the market on his handicap/chase debut.
