12:55 Aintree – Zambella (NAP)
It’s impossible to go against ZAMBELLA. I respect Pink Legend’s chances but Zambella loves and needs the ground soft, which she’ll get on Saturday. Her record over fences on soft or heavy ground is just firsts and seconds. She won’t be beaten here.
13:15 Sandown – Constitution Hill – non runner
Sandown is a course that suits CONSTITUTION HILL as we’ve seen him bolt up here. The move from Newcastle to Sandown puts this even more in his favour and I fancy him to win by 14l so over 12l will do me nicely!
The first four home will be Constitution Hill, Love Envoi, Goshen and You Wear It Well.
13:30 Aintree – Daly Tiger
DALY TIGER is quite interesting as he comes down the handicap. He’s a veteran now and Laura Morgan will win races with him at some point. He’s dropped in price which isn’t ideal but he can be competitive.

13:50 Sandown – JPR One
I’ll side with JPR ONE as he would have won at Cheltenham before unseating and he can confirm the form. The ground won’t be an issue for him and he should be the one to beat.
14:05 Aintree – Dorking Cock (each-way)
DORKING CORK is another one who I like but his price has halved. He’s a very talented horse on his day and he wants heavy ground. He should have beaten Vaucelet last year when finishing second at Down Royal and you need to catch him fresh. He won at Navan in November and while there are doubts over whether he stays, he’s worth chancing.
14:25 Sandown – Red Rookie
The mark of 131 for Impose Toi could be a slight issue and a couple of Nicky Henderson’s runners have been disappointing in the last couple of weeks. It’s not really the time to be backing short Henderson runners so I’ll side with RED ROOKIE, who will love the ground. His record on heavy ground is perfect and it won’t bother him switching back to hurdles.

14:40 Aintree – Knight Of Allen (each-way)
I’m not major on this race but I’ll side with KNIGHT OF ALLEN for Jane Williams, with Sam Twiston-Davies on board. He was carried out on his debut in a Cheltenham Grade 2 last month and Jane wouldn’t send him here if she didn’t think he had a chance.
15:00 Sandown – Haddex Des Obeaux (each-way)
I’m with HADDEX DES OBEAUX and I’ve also backed him for the Champion Chase at a huge price. He’s got loads to find on ratings after his fall at Cheltenham on his seasonal reappearance. I’m happy to forgive that after being really impressive last season. He has a lot to find to beat Jonbon but I’ll take a chance on him in an each-way punt, but there’s only two places. Hopefully he can finish second but I’m with him long term up until Cheltenham in March.
15:15 Aintree – Raffertys Return
RAFFERTYS RETURN is a big price and I’ll side with Rebecca Menzies’ runner. He’s not guaranteed to get his own way in front but if he does, he could get a big lead. He’s got a chance on turning the form around with Bashers Reflection after their Wetherby run. He should give you value for your money.
15:35 Sandown – Beauport
BEAUPORT has been a little disappointing but his record on soft ground is exceptional. He finished fifth on his seasonal reappearance at Ascot and he can show improvement. He wasn’t fully wound up there and he can bounce back at Sandown.
