13:50 Newbury – Nickle Back (Daily Mail)

Hermes Allen is highly respected back at the scene of his Challow win, assuming he jumps the fences well and is back in top form. However, the Sarah Humphrey-trained NICKLE BACK sets a comparable chase standard and has high hopes of turning over the Ditcheat contender.

The selection, a promising type, has registered two wide-margin wins since switched to fences and is well worth his place in this field. Marble Sands is third choice, ahead of Colonel Mustard.

14:25 Newbury – Kandoo Kid (Templegate)

Unexposed novice chaser KANDOO KID posted a solid effort over same course and distance (C&D) three weeks ago and is taken to go one better.

Frero Banbou, who remains well treated on peak form, is feared most ahead of Karl Philippe who has possibilities back down in trip. The return to 2m4f isn’t certain to suit Sail Away and Iron Bridge so well but they are otherwise progressive types.

15:10 Doncaster – Copper Fox (Racing and Football Outlook)

Runner-up in two of his five chases in early part of this season; just a respectable sixth of 13 when switched back to hurdling at Sedgefield (2m1f, good) in October, DONCASTER FOX has the pace, odds dropping as the market sniffs value.

19:30 Dundalk – Adams Barbour (Jersey Evening Post)

All seven of ADAM BARBOUR‘s wins have come here, last one coming off 77 back in February 2022; recent form leaves him with plenty to find but is down to a dangerous-looking mark now.
