So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
12:17 Taunton – Stiletto (West Country)
STILETTO twice went close on good ground last month (3m2f/3m; wore cheekpieces) and was very respectable fourth of 15 when dropped back to 2m here (good to soft; first-time blinkers) a fortnight ago. Evidently in good nick but his career strike-rate is now 0-22.
12:40 Thurles – French Dynamite (The Punt)
FRENCH DYNAMITE won over hurdles on first run last season before finishing second in Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham. No chase success since March 2022 but good efforts in defeat last season behind Fakir D’Oudairies here and when fourth in the Ryanair. Not at best at Aintree on final start. Could be hard to beat if the ground does not deteriorate.
14:20 Lingfield – Heva Rose (The Brigadier)
HEVA ROSE was disappointing in the main over hurdles last season but, following a second wind operation, she reappeared with a comfortable win over C&D (good to soft) last Tuesday on her first British chase start. Will be tough to beat under a 7lb penalty if repeating that latest form.
15:20 Musselburgh – Theirshegoes (Rory Paddock)
THEIRSHEGOES didn’t make her debut until January and is 0-7 over hurdles but her Perth third in April (3m, good to soft) suggests she can make an impact from this mark. Yard has turned a corner since her reappearance and it would be no surprise if she begins to fulfil her potential.
