12:40 Generous Day

Fazayte (second choice) and Tom Creen have been racking up the wins but the veteran GENEROUS DAY looks interesting now that he has a run under his belt, just as he did when winning this race on soft ground last year.

13:10 Sadlers Bay

The transition to fences for SADLERS BAY was safely negotiated over nearly 2m4f at Plumpton and this step back up in trip should suit him judged on his bold show over 3m1f in a handicap hurdle in May, when he renewed his effort in game fashion after a bad stumble two out.

Star Flyer rallying over 2m4f on his chase debut hints that he may emerge as the chief danger.

13:40 Just Lucky Sivola

Ned Cash showed up well at Warwick in April but faces some interesting newcomers, among which the chief candidate appears to be the Nicholls-trained JUST LUCKY SIVOLA. The market moves will reveal more.

14:10 Mountain Leopard

This looks competitive but stable form edges the vote for the Venetia Williams-trained MOUNTAIN LEOPARD, who is not proven over this far but kept on tenaciously when runner-up over 2m4f here May on his latest outing.

The new trip catches the eye for Ithaka and Steal My Sunshine who are feared most, in that order.

14:40 Telepathique

The form from bumpers and hurdle races does not exactly quicken the pulse. However, Fortune Forever and TELEPATHIQUE head that list and the latter is taken to go one better than at Newbury recently, having won a bumper last term.

15:10 Ring Of Beara

Some of these are unexposed and the betting market could be interesting but the most appealing option is RING OF BEARA, who ran quite well on soft ground at Kelso last month and is of strong interest if judged on his fourth in a competitive series final in March.

Jack’s A Legend is a very tricky horse to weigh up but some of his form reads very well in this context and he will be greatly feared if strong in the betting.

15:40 Hill Of Tara

HILL OF TARA has been much better in recent weeks, in common with plenty of his stablemates, and scored at Ffos Las and Leicester (again 2m4f on heavy) since going handicapping; latter was just a three-runner race (made all, won by 18l at 1-9) but he’s just 1lb higher in today’s bid to complete a quickfire hat-trick; this ground is forecast to be very different but no shock if he wins again.
