12:35 – Imperial Saint

The Famous Five and Gentleman Jacques have both shown promise over hurdles and they’re respected on this drop back in trip. The useful Flat performers Nathanael Greene and Time Interval need a close look on their switch to hurdling, while Jonjo O’Neill’s Mersey Street also enters the reckoning. However, the vote goes to IMPERIAL SAINT, who was impressive in his final Irish point in May and is half-brother to a multiple hurdle winner in France.

13:05 – Breaking Cover (NAP)

Irish raider Alphonse Le Grande was a promising third in a Sligo handicap in June and is respected on his reappearance. Last spring’s Fakenham winner Jubilee Gold needs a close look on his comeback, while Little Pi and Captain Attridge also enter the reckoning. However, the vote goes to Anthony Honeyball’s unexposed 5yo BREAKING COVER (nap), who was a clear second in a Taunton novice 11 days ago and is an interesting contender on his handicap debut.

13:40 – Justshortofabubble

Top of the list is JUSTSHORTOFABUBBLE, who has form figures of 21232141 under Ben Jones and hit a clear personal best when beating his 13 rivals at Taunton 11 days ago. Braganza Bay made a good start over fences with his clearcut win at Hereford last month and he’s feared most ahead of recent Plumpton scorer West Orchard and another unexposed chaser in Meechlands Magic. Others to consider are Deadly Missile and On The Platform.

14:15 – Movie King

Irish challenger MOVIE KING has travelled over in search of the better ground and this summer’s Down Royal winner has run creditably the last twice (on yielding to soft last time). Clondaw Pretender appeared to be strongly fancied on his return from an absence over fences at Sedgefield and was in the mix when crashing out late on. He earns second preference, although a good few others come into it.

14:50 – You Say Nothing

It’s hard to rule out any of these but the vote goes to Christian Williams’ front-runner YOU SAY NOTHING, who won two of his final three runs in the spring and still looks feasibly treated on his return to action. Last year’s winner Desque De L’Isle is feared most ahead of Feel The Pinch and Henry Daly’s unexposed chaser Lime Drop.

15:20 – Cooleenymore

Preference is for COOLEENYMORE, who was a good second on her handicap debut at Chepstow last time after 170 days off and is a big player if she can build on that on this drop back in trip. Second choice is Masked Dance, who was runner-up at Huntingdon in her final run in the spring and has had wind surgery since. Minniemum could be dangerous for a yard which won this last year, while there are several handicap newcomers who need watching in the market, including Houston Calling.

15:50 – Metkayina

Marginal preference is for Irish filly METKAYINA, who should build on her Galway effort. Ditcheat newcomer Jena D’Oudairies is feared most, ahead of Red Panda who should have plenty of ability if taking after her dam. Just those three are mentioned in an attempt to keep the shortlist short, but several of the other runners are also interesting in a deep-looking bumper.
